Concerts Ketsana Vilaylack Celebrated 50th Anniversary of U.S. Lao-Relations Organized by U.S. Embassy

Audiences thoroughly enjoyed the two concerts organized by Lao-American singer Ketsana Vilaylack on September 23 and 24. About 1,500 people attended each event, and responded with cheering and clapping throughout both evenings. In addition to Ketsana herself, the concerts featured some of the biggest pop stars in Laos, as well as musicians from the United states, who performed songs in American, modern Lao, and traditional Lao styles and instruments. Audiences clapped and cheered whenever new stars appeared on stage. These concerts were the final events in the Embassy's campaign to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the United States and Laos.
