Assistance for English Language Training

Mrs. Archibald and Mrs Vatchanaphone sign the grant papers

On May 27, 2007, U.S. Embassy Public Affairs Officer Amy Archibald presented a grant worth $2500 to the Institute of Foreign Affairs to fund additional English language training for officials and diplomats. Ms. Vatchanaphone Khennavong, Director of Administration and International Cooperation at the Institute of Foreign Affairs, accepted the grant on behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Acting Director General Mrs. Malayvieng Sakonhninhom presided over the grant signing ceremony. This grant is part of the ongoing cooperation between the U.S. Embassy and the Institute to develop stronger bilateral ties and assist with regional and international integration.
