Reception at the U.S. Ambassador’s Residence Brings American and Lao Students and Educators Together

American students learn Lao dance from Lao students
Ambassador Patricia Haslach hosted a reception for 15 students, faculty and staff member from Saint Cloud State University, located in Saint Cloud, Minnesota, on January 3 at her residence. At the reception and at other events during their January 1-9 visit, the group met more than fifty Lao students and faculty member from the National University of Laos and private colleges in Vientiane, as well as alumni from the Fulbright and Humphrey scholarship programs.

The visit by St. Cloud students, many of whom are of ethnically Hmong and Lao background, has become an annual tradition. The group is also visiting Thailand. |Jan. 3, 2007|
