Vice President of Lao National Assembly greets former U.S. Ambassador for Religious Freedom

 

Dr. Saysomphone Phomvihane, welcomed Dr. Robert Seiple former U.S. Ambassador for Religious Freedom

Deputy President of the Lao National Assembly, Dr. Saysomphone Phomvihane, welcomed Dr. Robert Seiple, former U.S. Ambassador for Religious Freedom and the Founder and Chairman of the Institute for Global Engagement, and his wife yesterday on the occasion of their five-day working visit to Laos from January 15 to 19.

During the visit to Laos, Dr. Seiple will also visit national and local leaders to exchange point of views on religious freedom in Laos. In addition, he will also discuss human rights in Laos. On the same afternoon [as his visit to Dr. Saysomphone], Dr. Seiple also gave a lecture on "Religious Freedom", co-organized by the Institute of Foreign Affairs and the Lao Front for National Construction, attended by more than 70 participants from various sectors. |Jan. 17, 2007|
