National League of Families visits Laos

National League of Families members Sue Scott and Pam Cain discuss the status of recovery operations with JPAC personnel in Xiengkoung Province.

Family members from the National League of Families of American Prisoners and Missing in Southeast Asia visited Laos from 22-25 March  2007 to meet with Lao officials, including Vice Foreign Minister Phongsavath Boupha, and visit Joint POW/MIA Accounting Command (JAPC) personnel in the field conducting excavations to recover remains of U.S. service members missing from the Vietnam War.  Members of the delegation included Ms. Jo Anne Shirley, Chairman of the Board; Ms. Sue Scott, Secretary of the Board; Ms. Pam Mauterer Cain, Virginia State Coordinator; and Karoni Forrester Gonzales, Texas State Co-coordinator.
