PACOM visitors discuss training and humanitarian assistance

PACOM team meets with Government
of Lao officials.
A visiting team from the U.S. Pacific Command (PACOM) in Hawaii, led by Colonel Mark S. Haskins, Chief of Strategic Plans and Policy for South and Southeast Asia, met with Lao officials January 29-30 for technical-level talks on the International Military Education and Training (IMET) Program and humanitarian assistance. The Lao side was led by Mr. Phoxay Khaykhamphithoune, MFA Europe and Americas Department Americas Division Director, and included Ministry of National Defense (MND) Department of Foreign Relations Europe/Americas Division Director LTC Khamsing Sosengin.
